I am very glad for this ruling. But, like everything, even a loss for Trump is used as a win. After a shellacking in November, Trump will say it's because of corrupt mail in voting. Because America is polarized into two main echo chambers, half the country will believe it. And just like the results of 2020, the "facts" you believe will be determined by your voter registration.

It's not a bad strategy given the limited power they will have. So far, the only checks on Trump's power grabs have been the courts, and the GOP led House has been completely compliant with Trump's wishes. The administration has lost hundreds of lawsuits so far, and the DoJ is increasingly seen as a vassel agency bending to Donald's whims.

Impeachment and removal would only move JD Vance into the top spot. That's probably worse. Lawsuits and investigations, with the goal of stopping the Trump administration in it's tracks, recovering stolen funds, and restoring the power of Congress to it's traditional level is a good interim step. Then after the GOP loses the Executive Branch, the real work of ferreting out the criminals and identifying those responsible for war crimes, can begin.

At least in my community in CA, we expanded safe housing for the unhoused by opening several hundred mini apartments in a converted motel, and a new five story building, in association with a non-profit, Mercy House. The two sites have social services on site, with career counseling available, social services, etc. I guess it's a modified "housing first" model that seems to be working.

I can't find direct references to trans people in Scripture. But one aspect, intersex people, seem to be recognized by Jesus in his statement in Mt. 19:12

"For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.”

Eunuchs were "gender outsiders" in that day, but this passage and the ones in Acts 8:26 show God's concern for not excluding outsiders. The author takes care in those passages to repeatedly state it was the angel of the Lord directing Philip to welcome the eunuch into the faith.
