Ear wax has never been an issue for me either, I had a friend who had just had their ear canal rinsed by a doctor. And their explanation kinda fit the bill..
So with a new born, new house that I was renovating, and stubbornness that I can handle everything myself, I managed to convince myself that this was the root cause
Seeing this post made me physically cringe. I am "The Public."
In my late 20s, my ear started hurting. I was utterly convinced it was just a stubborn clump of earwax. I went to the pharmacy and bought one of those bulb syringes for rinsing ears. The pharmacist calmly and explicitly instructed me: "Make sure you only use lukewarm water."
I went home, washed my ear canal, and nothing happened. I figured I'd just give it a few days to loosen up.
Over the next couple of days, the pain escalated to an excruciating level. I'm talking find-chair, put-my-head-in-my-lap kinda pain. And as my son had just been born, I was operating on a good mix of extreme pain and severe sleep deprivation.
Eventually, i came to the conclusion that hotter water = more wax melting, and if lukewarm water didn't work, maybe it just needs more heat. The hotter the water, the better chance it has of melting the wax, right? So, I boiled some water. And with zero hesitation, I injected boiling hot water directly into my ear canal.
It was not earwax.
I ended up at the doctor, where I learned that the initial agony was actually a severe case of otitis media (a middle ear infection). And thanks to my brilliant home remedy, I had managed to add a scorched ear canal and a secondary outer ear infection right on top of it.
So yeah. When that optometrist said, "Look at me. I want you to understand that I mean water that has been boiled and has since cooled down," he was talking to me. I am the guy.
I’ve gone with Authentik for my homelab, and sure there is some learning to do, but it is fairly simple once it’s setup, and in the end it is not that bad.
If I were to choose over, I’d god with KeyCloak as it seems like that’s almost exclusively what’s used in the marked ~ and thus would be good to know in depth
Well, don’t get me wrong. I don’t like the man any more than you do. But I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that most people on the planet does not give a fuck, or might even know who the guy is.
My critique is not of the intent of the message, just the fact that ppl from the US think that all that happens in the US must be on the world agenda, and is probably that most important thing in the universe right now..
This self importance is tiring, and stretches from left to right in US politics.
here we go again with Americans thinking they are the fucking bellybutton of the universe.. there are worse people on the planet than Donald Trump, his death won’t be celebrated “globally”
The video is monetized, and by having some ppl change their pfp to clippy and then linking to his video - I mean congrats to Mr. Rossmann for the big $$$
Not all clocks implement leap seconds in the same manner. Leap seconds in Unix time are commonly implemented by repeating 23:59:59 or adding the time-stamp 23:59:60. Network Time Protocol (NTP) freezes time during the leap second,[62] some time servers declare "alarm condition".[citation needed] Other schemes smear time in the vicinity of a leap second, spreading out the second of change over a longer period. This aims to avoid any negative effects of a substantial (by modern standards) step in time.[63][64] This approach has led to differences between systems, as leap smear is not standardized and several different schemes are used in practice.[65]
Mon ikke bare man vil implementere noget lignende det?
I had sudo on our prod server on day one of my first job after uni. Now I knew my way around a database and Linux, so I never fucked with anything I wasn’t supposed to.
Our webapp was Python Django, enabling hotfixes in prod. This was a weekly or biweekly occurrence.
Updating delivery times for holidays involved setting a magic variable in prod.
I’m not justifying it anymore than justifying the increase in price of cheese.
But instead of spending your time being angry or annoyed at individual companies. Spend your time being angry with the system that requires the companies to have an ever increasing profit.
And stop being surprised by it, accept that this is a symptom of the capitalism, and if you want change.. well, then.. it will not happen by itself, and it will not start in the gaming industry.
And that’s completely fair as well, but there will be compromises.. because 100DKK is not worth the same 100DKK as for 10 years ago, so as time goes by - the games you’ll be able to buy for 100DKK, will have reduced effort equally to the reduction in value of your currency
I don’t think I’m shilling for everything.. I’ve been sailing the seas for as long as I can remember… I just don’t understand why people keep getting surprised at games increasing in price - have you guys forgotten how capitalism works?
Like do you go to your local grocery store and see that cheese has yet again shrunk in size, and increased in price, and then think “this’ll never happen to my precious videogames”?
If so, then I guess I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news
I fucking hate LinkedIn.. and the way peoples post their "achievements" like anybody care. "So proud to announce I was promoted to Assistant Regional Manager of Paper Clips"... and then 500 comments sayin "Congrats!" "So deserved!" "Ur an inspiration!!" STOP LYING!!
The worst is them "influencers" who post fake stories about how they hired a homeless man and now he’s the CEO of 7 companies. Or the "I woked 25 hours every day for 10 years and now I successful, you could to", I get physically sick of reading that rubbish.
And don't get me started on the polls!! "Do u think workers should get bathroom breaks? Yes/No/Maybe/LinkedIn Premium™️" WHO IS VOTING MAYBE?? It just engagement bait shit!!
Every morning I open the app and see people I went to school with pretending they Steve Jobs of selling insurance or whatever.
But the company I work for keep saying “we want engagement on our LinkedIn posts, please like them”.. and I guess I’m not better that all the other corporate sheep
Thanks for the kind words, I am glad that you are here as well!

It is very silly.

I truly hope the delays was due to the fact that they “give a fuck about their game”.. But, I won’t believe it until I see it..
Der er andre metoder at have tid på end Unix time

An internet without Americans?

every link in the chain, from producer to consumer needs to have an ever growing increase in profit for capitalism to work
