I was watching another one at the exact moment you made this comment lol.

The Boulder was great (and one of my favorite characters from ATLA!), thanks for linking it!

And you're intentionally avoiding the question.

I think I've had enough of you purposefully misconstruing and dodging me when I've done my best to be genuine.

I don't think our conversations in the future will be this lengthy - I've finally internalized that nothing I say will make you see the harm you're inflicting.

It was personal for the person who originally posted it. Would it have been ok for Laurence to post the same meme if it said "big boy pants"?

Also, I've seen the "venting" posts that get posted in womensstuff and elsewhere on Lemmy saying exactly the same sort of thing about men, both specific and in general.

Are they kind or positive? They get hand-waved as "just venting" and "healthy outlets". So, are venting posts ok or are venting posts not ok?

My answer is the same: in exactly the same way that calling out perceived misandry can be considered misogyny.

I think that my downvotes are coming from people like you, zealous and well-intentioned but misguided and not aware of their own misandry.

I'm doing the best I can to push back against them as well - you just happen to be one of the most prolific commenters, so I see your comments most often. I promise that I'm responding to others too though.

Again making up strawmen to fight. You're clearly continuing to intentionally misunderstand me, so I don't think there's much more I can say here.

Yes, what do you think all of the comments and downvotes you always get on your misandrist comments are trying to say? There's a stark difference in participation on your comments, in that the ones lifting women up are pretty universally upvoted and your comments tearing men down are usually controversial. We've been telling you for months, but you refuse to listen.

Playing semantic games with the word "misandry" isn't going to work here, as the comments and votes have shown.

Also, whether you think you're being misandrist or not isn't really up to you anyway, and it's not my job to do any more than I already have to educate you. You either listen to what we're telling you, or you don't.

I never said that it was, and you know that isn't what I've been talking about this whole time, though your dogged determination to pretend otherwise isn't lost on me.

If you're still actually trying to defend saying "Thank you!" to a comment literally saying "Misandry doesn't exist", then we're both wasting our time here.

When I've already wasted my time giving you evidence in dms once, it kinda disincentivizes me from wasting my time on it a second time, knowing that you won't listen.

So, I think I'll just let you take what message you will from the comments and votes in this thread, and if you want to add it to your imaginary misogynistic persecution complex instead of recognizing it as the reaction of a community that is aware and tired of your subtle, dog-whistling misandry, then so be it.

But whenever I happen to see a comment like this of yours as I'm scrolling the frontpage, you can be sure that I'll continue to call it out, just as I hope you continue to call out the actual misogyny that exists on Lemmy.

I've been nothing but civil with you. Your persecution complex is incredibly telling, especially in the context of your comments.

Also, you edited your comment. ;)

It's always interesting seeing which of the daughter languages lose which cases.

Tocharian lost all of the cases but three (Nominative, accusative, and genitive), but then added five more of its own creation! For Tocharian B, these are the perlative, comitative, and (a new) allative, ablative, and locative!

It's equally telling that you think I'm the one on a crusade given the literal hundreds of similar comments I see from velma on /c/all all of the time.

Anyways, as for tags, I don't know if it's implemented into the Lemmy website directly, but most third party clients allow it in their settings, and I think there are also browser extensions you can install for it.

Edit: I don't like to go through people's comment histories, but since velma has specifically asked me to do so below, I'll update with a few examples when I can get back to my desktop PC later.

In the meantime, I think anyone else should also feel free to jump in with their own favorite examples.
