Sad to say, it looks like we can blame Gen X even more than Boomers for Trump.
Speaking as someone squarely in the Gen X age bracket that votes regularly, and more than just for presidential elections (and never for TFG). I know far more people my age that don't vote. In my state/districts in 2020/2022/2024, it didn't matter luckily, however the complete checking out is narrow-minded, and infuriating, as most seem to believe that voting makes them complicit in perpetuating the broken system. There are a couple that I'm glad didn't vote, as I know if they had, they would go down ballot R because that is what their dad did/does and heaven forbid any they spend any time to read/listen or any critical thinking is asked of them.
CP/M - Adventure - Colossal cave, 550 pt version, along with my maps I used to have. I never did complete the game, Also wouldn't hate playing some Targ, or Star Trek. I'm sure it wouldn't be the same to me compared to when i was in my single digits, but still
C64 - The EA games of old, Mail Order Monsters, Seven Cities of Gold, M.U.L.E. Archon, Racing Destruction Set, etc. I know there are emulators and even re-release/remakes in the case of M.U.L.E. and SCoG, but it just doesn't feel the same. I think again nostalgia takes over. I could go on with C64 games, Ultima IV, Summer Games, Aztec, Space Taxi, Wizard, the list really does go on.
PC - Funny enough almost every game I immediately think of I've found a way to play online or they're on GOG or remastered - Planecape Torment, Rick Dangerous, Total Annihilation ,Wing Commander, how I'd love for a new Wing Commander type game that doesn't over-promise/under-deliver.
Xbox - Gladius, dunno why, there are tons of turn based games done better. I think it's part nostalgia.
I think when it comes to games now, it's more like - I miss the spare time to play the games with the friends I used to play them with. I try to find a game to play with my old roommate from time to time, but both of us cant stay up til all hours of the night. We just can't bounce back from being up late and have to work in the morning on weekdays, and errands/family obligations on the weekends.
There are some greats listed here (Ween, Jarre, FSOL, Lovage, Aphex, Shpongle, Air, etc.)
However my pick is Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn
The only thing similar to this is his own album Incantations a few years later, but there just isnt anything like it from start to finish.
I used to abuse caffiene / coffee to an extreme. I had an espresso machine at home, and another in my office, and there were MANY days where was drinking more than 32 oz of espresso in a day. Most of my gastrointestinal issues can be directly attributed to this behavior. I don't suggest this to anyone.
That being said, I still can enjoy cold brew, and my morning ritual is a big tumbler with 1 cup cold brew , 1 cup water, 1 cup oat milk, and ice. That gets me through most days. I also do break it up where i switch to tea for extended periods.
Wait until you have parents or other elderly loved ones that are slowly rotting and wasting away in front of you, unable to do anything to end their own suffering due to being severely incapacitated and then come back with that incredibly short-sighted belief. We give more compassion to the end-of-life of our pets than our elderly.
They have a few, and some heavily armed security in some of them as well. I had a tour of one when a company I worked for was looking for a secondary DC. Bulletproof glass, assault rifles, body scanners, and a few other nutty things. Those gambling establishments have to store their data somewhere.
If I want to get all funky its usually Mixed Bizness
If I want a chiller pop happy groove I go to No Distraction
Midnight Vultures, Guero (as well as Guerolito for remixes) , and Colors are all solid for higher energy stuff.
If I want to just have the deep feels. I go for his cover of Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Yet a great deal of of the songs from Morning Phase and/or Sea Change can hit that spot as well.
However I can get lost in so many of his songs/albums. After the orchestral tour he did this year I've rediscovered his more orchestral stuff such as Lonesome Tears
Also if I'm just in a mood, I won't lie. I'll listen to MTV Makes Me Want to Smoke Crack.
Anyhow... Thank you for listening to my Beck Talk.
My industry is IT. It’s very common that IT support workers making under the income threshold are given exempt status even though their responsibilities are not exempt job duties. There are a shitload of IT support workers.
Same here. I am like, great so now ill get paid to work 32 hours, but still work 60.

ACK, ACK ACK, ACK!
Hey! Id be interested in Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
This is very true. It is very unique to its sound and how it was put together.

Cow & Chicken / I M Weasel.
Yeah I was thinking about that this morning and realized it was before she was second-lady
Tipper Gore did some pretty stupid stuff... Thanks for the Parental Advisory labels on all those albums, Heckuva Job Tipper.

Truly depends on the mood I'm in.
