@supersquirrel i propose we abolish personal use cars as well, especially and primarily inside urban areas/living spaces #fuckcars :ablobblewobble: and if we have enough foresight we won't make the same mistake with drones as we did with ground killing vehicles, that's my honest take ✌️
@supersquirrel let me process the grim reality of normalization of dual use tech infiltrating our daily life in my small mindedness✌️ and you do you, keep up the good fight of reframing what the ruling class wants us to believe is a another war tech advance or not
@perestroika thank you again for your input. i knew that metal-air batteries/cells are like very novel but it seems they are unfeasible beyond TRL 3 for now. and the point on the military ignoring the energy expenditures is very valid actually. thanks again :blobheart:
@perestroika@Wahots thanks for the breakdown! a short question: so military aviation applications need less km range or is it something else that leads to the conclusion of military tech direction. it's very frustrating seeing the hard work we make for the benefit of our energy community as researchers ending up in military applications :tiredcat2: :firepoop: how can we avoid this?
@Rekall_Incorporated unless it's for lithium recycling, any research on lithium batteries and technology right now feels like wasted energy and human potetial. #lithium mines are a man-made plague in this planet than need to be minimized. why not work on sodium #batteries instead and cleanner more efficient lithium #recycling? at least this way we can be more resilient for our green technologies, while working towards #degrowth goals in the global north.
@inari for the paywall access challenged ones :neocat_wink: here's the article archived:

@supersquirrel that's a very astute comparison. cheers 🍻

@supersquirrel i am no fan of dual-use tech, sorry
@supersquirrel grim

@signaleleven can you describe how you bridge matrix to other spaces and what's the use case? can it be bridged from/to matrix? thx @thagoat
