What we've ended up with is American public services, and American tax rates, but with none of the political or economic power of America. The economy is hampered by the privatisation of necessities.

I would argue facilitating somebody else's offensive action, is an offensive action. If I encourage my friend to punch somebody else, I have participated in the attack, and therefore have committed an offensive action. Debating over culpability here is ridiculous, the man who loads the bombs is just as culpable as the man who drops them.

The solution to all of these problems is more democracy, not less. Create an actual system that puts power in the hands of the people, because this ain't it, and it never was.
Let me be brutally clear: we do not have democracy. We get to choose who represents/rules us for 5 years, from a list of candidates, pre-selected by parties who are most often comprised of many landlords, capitalists, investors, or those who have heavy affiliations with those.
That isn't democracy. The people are not ruling, in any sense of the word. They are choosing who, out of the ruling class, rules them, from an incredibly small selection.
You cannot fix the UKs existing problems with autocracy or fascism, you cannot fix it by "just getting the right ruler in with MY beliefs instead". The people must be educated and prepared to have the responsibility of ruling, and then given that power, in order to create a system that works for them. You cannot create an ideal system by simply putting the right autocrats in power.
If the blinds are closed and there's half decent insulation, and maybe a fan for some airflow, inside can be much nicer.

Would highly recommend RetroArch as an all in one emulator for most consoles. It removes so much of the pain of emulation.
