Not OP but the pension system was built when 3% of people or less made it past 65, and everyone was having 5 kids that all moved out, got married, and were supposed to have 5 kids as well. We don't have enough young kids to pay into the system to support the tsunami of old people forced to retire soon, and our young kids make fuck all to pay for the system for 20 years because the job market and TFW programs ate up all the entry level jobs they could have gotten valuable work experience with and cut their teeth on.
That also doesn't even begin to touch all the other ways the older generation have stolen the future of young people, but it's the one that affects old people the most when the system implodes.
There are irrigation techniques like drip line irrigation which drops water right next to the plant where it soaks in one spot instead of making a huge area on the surface damp.
You can also do subsurface irrigation but that's more a thing for orchards or vineyards where you plant once and don't need to plow or irrigate for a decade or two.
I wonder how this works. Maybe it only functions when it detects the wall has 120V power? If it backfed during a power outage it would be like plugging a generator into your house with a cheater cord (never, ever do that) which can step your generators 120V back up into 12-25kV through your local transformer and zap the linesman working to fix your outage on the neutral (a generator backfeeds onto the neutral not the "hot" sides of the circuit. I.e. the "safe" wire suddenly has thousands of volts on it)
