i just don't think that the number of fans is the right thing to focus on. it depends more on why you're a public figure, what kind of people comprise your fanbase, and other such factors. some things will be scandalous for one kind of famous person, or to one kind of fan/follower/whatever, but not to another.
also, like, abusive relationships and cults exist with very small populations, and the abuser/cult leader can get away with a lot without losing their victim(s).
it's the narrative pushed by the government, and most people are insufficiently wary of the stories they are told by the powers that be.
if people abuse drugs because of a history of generational and personal trauma at the hands of racist, capitalist, i and imperialist forces, then the obvious answer is to counter those forces. if people abuse drugs because they're just bad people who make bad decisions as part of an immutable personal failing, it is far easier to justify criminalizing drug use, imprisoning drug users, and using them as slave labor to fuel the machine.
at least, that's definitely what's going on in the US.
a couple weeks ago my partner said something to the effect that i've always improved since she's known me. it surprised and really touched me and i couldn't help but cry a bit every time i thought about it for days afterward. i don't usually think very highly of myself, and that just really cut me to the core (in a good way).
i don't think it's at all fair to blame the punks. the "anarchism=chaos" argument has been pushed by every authority figure since time immemorial to try to justify their own power over others.
there were estimated to be about 100 million people in the us in 2020 (the most recent numbers i could find, but it's certainly higher now), that were not eligible to vote despite being bound by the countries laws. if you're gonna tax people, and pass laws impacting them, they should at the bare minimum get a say in who gets to be the representatives making those decisions.

i only fought him on new game, but it was my first souls like, and i had done co-op with my partner for most of the rest of the game, so he was still pretty darn tough. i have heard before that they get pretty cray at high ng+ levels, but i can only imagine. honestly sounds more like a slog than a fun challenge to me though.
