I hadn't considered that, but it's possible. The vehicle is parked with the window open while the person in the driver's seat is taking pics of the child hiding from the large animal whose head is entirely inside the vehicle. So yeah, I can see how the driver could have also intentionally lured the animal to approach in the first place. But regardless, they seem to be intentionally abusing that child. Otherwise, why leave the car parked with the window open as a large animal approaches, and why take pics of the child instead of helping them? Like, if it somehow happened so quickly that they couldn't have prevented it, why start taking pics instead of pushing the animal back out? Why not drive away?
I was sharing the mechanism for copying between vms within Qubes OS, which is a bit different from traditional operating systems. First you copy to the clipboard of the current qube, then copy to the shared clipboard, then paste from the shared clipboard into the clipboard of the destination qube, and finally paste within that destination qube.
Hi, I know this is just a shitpost, but I feel the need to say something serious about it for a sec. I find the image unsettling. Deliberately violating a child's personal space boundaries like that, where they can't escape the situation, for a pic and a laugh at their expense, I see as a form of child abuse. Like, if you look at the kid's face, you should be able to see it. Right? It just feels bad to see a pic like that being used as a meme template. And I'm not saying anyone is a bad person for using or enjoying the meme/template. I'm just asking and hoping that you please think on it and reconsider how you feel about it.
I think the core issue in situations like these is that you are made to lack a baseline feeling of comfort in your home. Fear of germs can be a rationalization to justify the bad feelings, and it can also be used by others to dismiss your feelings. We each need to feel a baseline of control over our own bodies, and that can be disrupted by the persistent actions of others when those actions unavoidably affect us. I think that such living conditions can act as a sort of feedback loop, in which your need for a feeling of cleanliness becomes stronger in response to the grossness you perceive around you, while your attempts to get them to be more mindful of their actions might cause them to "double-down" on the very things causing your distress. You maybe only ever feel safe and comfortable in your room, or if it's shared with others then maybe not even there.
You are not unreasonable to have these feelings; your feelings are valid.
I hope your post at least grants you some assurance that you are not the problem.
That whole album was and is definitely worth the listen. It may begin and end with Blue, but there is quite a range of emotions and messages. When I was young, Blue was my favorite, but as I grew up, different songs started to resonate with me.
::: spoiler Lyrics from Track 10 - Now is Forever
we should think about,
what we got right now,
cause the good things are made up of time.
smile to your problems,
leave the past behind.
never forget this.
find the truth in your soul,
keeping you alive.
going on from minute to minute.
don't shade the future,
with all that's behind.
live for today.
[...]
don't shade your future,
with what you don't have.
keep your mind on what's here today.
now and forever,
build the future now.
keep this mind.
though you will take your time,
to get what you need,
but you'll do it step after step.
yet to come is all that's gone,
learn to live this moment.
live for today.
[...]
the past is all that's gone (the past is all that's gone)
the future is yet to come. (and the future's yet to come)
this moment is all our own. (you know it is)
we should live this way,
just building up our day,
now is forever.
the past is all that's gone, (the past is all that's gone)
the future is yet to come. (the future is yet to come)
this moment is all our own.
we should live this way,
just building up our day,
now is forever.
