Sounds like a really good compromise. "Rediquette" says it's only to discourage spam and posts that add nothing to the conversation, but in practice, basically everyone uses it as an "I disagree" button. Gets used as a tool to discourage dissent and silence the actual unpopular opinions.
That's probably because of how federation between servers works (90% sure). If nobody else in your instance was following @calckey@lemmy.blahaj.zone before you, it won't show you the older posts. Once there are new posts in that sublemmy (is that the word?), you should start to see them.
Following @calckey@lemmy.blahaj.zone seems to be working on my end with the latest Calckey RC. So this might be a temporary error or a federation issue
