It’s about democracy and sovereignty. Let’s say a EU member internationally votes 51% in favor of implementing socialism. Because of the EU membership, it would not be possible to implement due to regulations outside of a single country’s control, and EU is famously very capitalistic in general.

One non-extreme example in my country Sweden is that EU is threatening to make snus (i.e. oral tobacco product which zyn is based on) illegal, despite it being widely used and arguably a way more healthy nicotine product than cigarettes. Currently, Sweden has an exemption from the snus ban, but that exemption is not guaranteed for the future.

Also, if extreme right-wing forces grow stronger (which they currently are doing), it could result in EU policy regarding limiting lgbt rights or other horrible right-wing policies, despite a given country’s elected politicians not being of a right-wing majority.

He went out in public with the intention of provoking strangers, recording their reactions, and publishing it on the internet for profit. A stranger got a bit more provoked than he had preferred. It turns out that some people won't be fine with being provoked, recorded, and published on the internet. How strange.

Marginally better UI means nothing to me if the distro can't handle basic features like audio through HDMI, therefore I'll choose pretty much any distro over mint.

From my personal experience, ubuntu has been way easier (more of "it just works") than linux mint. What's the reason behind people preferring and recommending mint? Is it only the UI?

What are you on about? None of these things are comparable to an AI agent. Also, I cannot believe you're not aware of this, but it's very common that a majority of drugs are illegal.

If full self-driving mode is likely to kill you, it shouldn't be able to be enabled in the first place. It's simply there to make the company's product look better, by being able to claim that the car has full self-driving, despite being a shitty functionality in practice.

If a car is presented as fully self-driving and it crashes, then it's not he passengers fault. If your automatic tool can fuck up your shit, it's the company's responsibility to not present it as automatic.
