I’ve had four Keychrons. Currently still have two of them, a Q10 with the stock Gateron browns and one Q11 that I put Kailh box jades in. All have been or were reliable. But I am aware of the issues that others have had. Maybe I’m just lucky? The first two were K-series, so cheaper than the Qs but I sold them, they had no issues at that time.
The mainly live on Rottnest but it’s not exclusive. There are small populations on the mainland as well. But they are threatened by predators and other human activities there and so populations have dropped dramatically since the 1930s. However, a population was just found in the Perth Hills late last year!
The plastic caddy itself sheds. Ours inside is now rough and difficult to clean properly. I can only guess it’s shedding microplastics into the compost which we put into…a plastic bin for collection
