Oh yeah they absolutely don't care about us. They care very deeply about their masters private property, not their subjects' personal property. Its a distinction they make and it helps to be aware of that
Very similar issue here... Scrum masters that invite themselves to every meeting to run them, but are not able to contribute meaningfully in any way. I guess it's not just my company that does agile wrong
I think words can be powerful, and truth can still have meaning. Watering down news headlines with clickbate feels like a step away from that though. Fascists aren't afraid of a few metal projectiles and death, those are their tools. They are afraid of objective facts and people understanding those facts, rather than their propaganda. We shouldn't shy away from those tools, but our focus should be on keeping truth and reality relevant rather than gaining clicks.
They should also include the recommended steps to take to prevent the issue again, which would allow you to investigate why the changes you made (you were allowed to make the changes, right? Manglement let you make the changes?) didn't prevent the issue
People are already being killed by police/ice/this administration. If we open carry then the oppressors will die too, and each time one of them dies, they'll think a bit harder before taking action against the population.
The concept of Stockholm syndrome accurately describes these "capitalist" workers. Stockholm syndrome passing scientific rigor has no relevancy to this discussion.
Because the state does so much for you? Most people (in America at least) don't have the luxury of the state even giving a passing thought to their well being
Source?
Very incorrect.
Correct.
People exist outside of Lemmy and they do stuff. Stuff including resist.

Personal property != private property
This isn't gun control though. It's surveillance.

I guess it depends on how you want to treat them, it's nice to have options though

Exactly, we never outlawed slavery, we made it explicitly legal. Cops have always been slave catchers in this country.
Imagine being under 40 and thinking you'll be allowed to retire....

Don't leave out Prince.... That was a rough year
Nope, I don't. Feel free to explain your relevant point at any time.

I would have shat your pants. I'm also glad you're okay
Why not demand more? Costs nothing for you to ask companies to meet ever-so-slightly higher standards.
Insisting on being grateful to any company in 2025 is wild anyway
