Always wondered why that was. Short spans? Stiff wires? Extra high tension? All three?
@mattblaze@federate.social I do wonder, with the angles of the concrete at the top of the tower, if there was at least some consideration for the aesthetics of the structure
@mattblaze@federate.social It never ceases to amaze me how quickly we built and abandoned huge, wonder-of-the-world-scale infrastructure projects. We pulled twisted pairs of copper wire to the large majority of structures in the United States!
