Then he fucked up the easiest handout of public good and caused millions to needlessly die.

Well you see he thought people in "blue cities" would be the ones to die and was 100% ok with that.

"You think learning the specifics and intricacies and dedicating a chunk of your life to furthering your understanding of complex systems and decades navigating the rigors of academic study makes you a scientist or something?"

Someday he'll live out his life wealthy and entitled with access to the best doctors and lifestyle money can buy. He'll coast through life using his family name and resources to open doors and skirt accountability until he finally dies on his estate surrounded by dozens of people who'll talk about him like he's the second coming.

That seems more accurate.

Wow thanks! I like hummus but can sit and eat a plate of roasted red peppers with just some plain crackers. I absolutely love them, I need to try this!

He's directed something like 30+ episodes throughout the franchise. Most recently an episode of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy this year. He's contributed a lot to Trek,

Obviously his most important contribution to modern cinema is his voice work as lead protagonist Goliath in Disneys Gargoyles, but the Trek stuff is ok too.

It's the circle of life and happens with everything.

Either your favorite thing stays niche and withers slowly, never achieving it's full potential; or becomes successful and becomes an increasingly derivative cash cow for whatever production company throws the most money at it.

Thankfully there are exceptions.

I keep everything groomed but never really shave anything smooth.

I've tried it and it feels nice for a second but the itching/scratching as it grows back just isn't worth it.

But I keep basically my entire body "groomed" to some extent, I just use some electric clippers and a short guards. You want it long enough to not be scratchy or itchy, but short enough to not be a tangled mess.

I'm a hairy adult btw.

Chicago was historically considered the Second City, after NYC. It's a major shipping and economic hub and has something like the 6th highest GDP of any urban region in the world, over $919 billion in 2024. It has an incredibly diverse culture and is a world class city by every definition of the word.

This is great, his hips were already over the top of the fence when he took the first step up, he could've just continued to step over fence and been done.

Instead he launched himself over the fence with apparently no real plan for landing at all..

I've noticed this as well and have starting using bidets as a quality of life improvement flex.

Hard to pretend you're the man when you're walking around with a nasty ass and I'm over here feeling fresh as fuck on the hottest day of the summer.

The peanut butter was there first though and organized and actively worked to make the bread softer and more ignorant about salami and pepperjack.

Jellys arrival mighti've been the death knell but if they're ever put against a wall, the peanut butter should be first in line.

We're basically in agreement though and I'm just splitting hairs, ultimately there's no war but the class war.

I don't disagree but the concerted effort was specifically undertaken by the U.S. ruling class to undo the progress made by The New Deal and FDR. The Soviet Union of 70 years ago is drastically different than the Russia of today. Of course oligarchs are going to oligarch and at the end of the day there's no war but the class war but wealthy Americans specifically set out to fund think tanks to shift American politics to the right.

I feel like it's important they own this, blaming foreign interference gives the domestic ruling class a pass they shouldn't get.
