I thought I read something (many moons ago so I may be misremembering) but I thought they lost a lot of their game data in a flood or the sprinklers went off on their local servers or something like that and they decided to release a recovered version or like some local backup someone had on their computer. Is that just wrong and they tried to just over promise and under deliver on launch and that's just it?

For anyone on Samsung, I've also been fighting with with the OneUI changes, look into the GoodLock app from the Samsung App store, it's published by Samsung and helps you take (more) control over how attributes behave and act, along with changing things like the Lock Screen looks and what shows up and how. I can give more info if anyone wants or provide screenshots here if anyone would like

Here's a link to the app in their store https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.goodlock

Hey so I had a similar problem with the random vibrations, I found that the update turned on Notification Reminders in settings for texts and missed calls. I'd double check those settings around that and I hope it helps you

To answer the first part, when you shutdown the VM, your stuff will persist, so no you will not have to reinstalled all your stuff on the VM every time.

For the second part of your question, (to my knowledge, please correct me if I'm wrong) no Mobo has a built in GPU, some CPUs have integrated graphics and I believe you can get that to work on the VM as well. Otherwise you could use integrated on the Linux host OS and use your GPU for the VM exclusively, but your overall performance may take a hit when not using the VM
