Thanks for that, I did hear about the cancellations.
Have they said anything about the war or is it all boiling down to the comment they made about the cancellations?
My experience with the FP4 is you can only lock the bootloader with a couple of "official" distro's.
And even then there are conditions where this can go bad.
I can use the default factory version provided by fairphone, I can use e/os.
While I can install and use postmarketos or a lineage image, I can't lock the bootloader without turning it into a brick.
I believe it is to do with boot partition signing by the CPU manufacturer and the android bootloader checking it.
Sorry, I accidentally deleted my thread.
I found a dataaheet which suggests it would need a microcontroller passing data using SPI, this would end up requiring code.
It just sounds like you need a stand alone mp3 decoder with a trigger, like ones in cards.
The search continues....
Hey there, happy to make some suggestion. Just need to know more about where this will be installed.
Power
Will the switch be switching the power or will it be a play switch?
What voltage is available in the space the switch will be installed in?
Space
How much space will you have behind the switch when it is mounted OR do you intend to have the playback device somewhere else?
Will a PC speaker fit or do you want something more serious?
Budget
What's your budget?
Time
How long have you got before this needs to be finished?
Wireguard + VPS. Each device connected can choose to route all their internet traffic or only VPN services traffic.

What? Did not realise they pulled some shit, do you have anything I can read about?
Partially true, this applies to signed boot loaders, postmarketos can't be locked like e/os or the default distro by FP

Only from walled garden app stores, the full unrestricted OSMAnd APK is available for free without restrictions from fdroid
Oh sure, just figured this was all done under windows.
If you have WSL set up run
It often reduces the size a fair bit
