Y'all remember the PSX emu Bleem! ? You could buy it commercially as a physical disk from the shelves of a store? I have no idea how they got away with it but that seems unthinkable these days.
I feel like, based on the interface, they just took PCSX, swapped the splash screen, and somehow distributed it commercially, along with even running TV ads. They must've been sued into oblivion by Sony.
I found parry difficult to learn (but once it's down for an attack it's muscle memory) and I play fighting games where people count frames, where you have to make 300ms reactions out of multiple incoming prompts, and where you have 2 frames parry windows as opposed to E33's 16 frames (I believe).
The most frustrating thing is that the telegraphing is just not that clear. I actually wish they increased the FOV change so that it's more apparent when it's at its maximum.
Man I first tried seriously to get into Witcher 3 after playing MGS5 and it was like being dropped into janky molasses. Don't get me wrong, MGS5 has an awful story, obviously unfinished, but boy is it fun to play.
I thought the community census was that DS3 was peak roll fest in a bad way.
Oceiros is literally flailing with minimum telegraph. And most of the bosses are roll dodge checks with Dancer being the worst offender.
The thing is, I feel like Miyazaki's design philosophy does have action at its core. The first game that From released after he joined was AC4, which was a wildy different experience from its predecessor. It went from controlling a helicopter to a god damn fighter jet, and is still the most twitch-based AC to this day.
Oh man this is me with "exercise" and "exorcise."
Ha! All three of the big East Asian languages also don't have articles. (It's also why we drop them all the time when learning to speak English.)
Wow that's news to me.
Okay, fineeee. I'll tongue it.

I didn't even know people read it. My eyes just glazed over the letters like it's a picture lol.
Huh, I thought I was fingering the nipple this whole time
Man, I remember laughing like a school boy when I first heard of the "finger" util in college, lol.
Also
finger \! && exitYeah, the two main cues are a sound ("swoosh" sfx) one and a visual (FOV rubber band) one.
... That's smart, why didn't I think of making a tank build, lol.

Well, the theme of contrast is in the name isn't? Clear vs obscure, transparent vs opaque.
Eh, it's perfectly fine to not enjoy even highly acclaimed games. I ended up not liking BotW despite trying hard to get into it.

Holy crap, this is me. StS and old emu game that's personally meaningful for me is what mobile gaming has amounted to for me.
I had a brief stint with idle games (Exponential Idle ended up being the main one) but that's about it.
Same with China under Mao's Great Leap where the country was exporting wheat to the USSR during a massive famine.
Fucking shit it's time to migrate again isn't it?
Woooow. That's truly impressive for all the wrong reasons.
I know right?
I feel like 14 seconds is like approaching launching an application when your HDD was kind of fragmented back in Windows XP days.
Or like rendering an image on dial-up modem.
