BG3 would be a good introduction to dnd. 5th edition tabletop plays pretty much the same. notable differences are in how movement is and the obvious aspect of being on more guardrails in a video game. although they still managed to make those guard rails feel near nonexistent.
I agree with what you’re saying except I think the Barbie movie has provided a unique and well thought out message that manny have failed to convey and finally feel they’re being heard.

I'm not sure I got to this point, and tbh everytime I've played I've felt like I'm missing something, so my opinion might not be well grounded. But, I've given it quite a few tries and just never get to this point. I'll give it another go though :)
Was clearing out a space in my backyard to landscape and eventually turn into a bonfire spot, and realized I hadn't seen anything about burn bans yet. Here they come! And for good reason.

thanks brother, I don't really try to not like it, it's just not my cup of tea. I grew up playing L4D 1 and 2 a lot and I think thats all I'll ever really enjoy from that genre. There are other similar games I'm not a huge fan of either.
That is honestly like 90% of the reason I have stuck around, the community here is reminiscent of early reddit (or rather when I joined circa like 2011). But, yeah I totally appreciate that people enjoy it and I'm happy they do, I just really don't agree with most their points.
Based on the sentiment I see online, my hot take is that Deep Rock Galactic is way over-hyped and is actually pretty shallow. It's a fine turn your brain off game, but I don't think it's as great as people make it out to be.

I get that you might not feel that way, but it kind of seems like you have some stuff weighing you down somewhere in there. Even if it isn't obvious I just think having a therapist to talk to would really help. IMO it's good even if someone doesn't think anything is wrong and is perfectly happy. It'd be good just to maintain that!
I'm fixing it by going to therapy and am learning avenues to move forward happy. I would recommend you do the same even if you don't think you have something mentally wrong, your happiness is important and thoughts like these can spiral out of control without you realizing it.
Yea my next promo is senior and honestly I'm probably just going to take that for the title and then fuck off. Based on my team's current seniors it's exactly how you describe it. Basically just manager light.
Yeah honestly I'm not surprised, they can probably use their piles of cash to wipe away their tears. I work for a very large company as an SDE and when asked about how I feel about the manager track, I am met with awkward silence when I say I absolutely do not want that path. My manager probably doesn't make a ton more than me, but they work at least 2x the hours with way more stress. Not worth it. These people chose these lives.
