that's some nice insight, thank you. I think I need to think of a project that isn't like web related, I had done some webserver stuff in rust before but it didn't help me learn much (rust is kinda a mixed bag for web dev anyway, at least server side) but I'll try to think of smth in due time

how have you been getting over rust's learning curve? I've tried to get into it quite a few times, going thru the book and other docs, even doing rustlings and something always trips me up. It seems like a fun language too so if you have any tips or feedback that have helped you become better at it I'd be grateful

it's cool to see people on the Fedora Atomic train, I really think it's a great set of distros for beginners and people that want "just works" systems

hi I think I might have some input on this

I got a left-handed mouse on amazon pretty recently (it's just some no-name brand but it works) and I quite like it. it's one of the raised ergonomic type ones that doesn't twist your wrist. very comfy to hold I recommend

yeah, that's kinda where I'm at with it too, I don't think people should be immediately banished because they chose to put say windows 7 on an old thinkpad instead of linux and take a pic with that

I do think it's a tad pedantic to enforce a *nix OSs only sort of rule, I think the general interest for tech/computers should be on display period, and trying to draw lines on how that can be shown based on the OS of all things does feel a bit off. It is not in everyone's best interest or desire to run a Unix-based OS and I don't think that should immediately bar people from posting here.

Now I am certainly new here and I'm sure people will disagree with me but this is just my 2 cents

cool stuff and setup :3 cybersec is so cool.. I was in a club in HS where we did some blue team stuff and it was quite fun, I'm not great at it tho
