I guess I hate how it’s brainwashed men into perpetuating the propaganda. These days, men more than women, expect us to fall victim to these “desire paths”.
I knew a guy that was absolutely relentless in how he wanted his woman to look, and expected her to foot the bill!
I’m all for looking good just as much as the next woman, but they just don’t realize how much time, money, energy and effort goes into catering to the capitalistic, conventional beauty standards of today.
We are literally punished every month for not being with child, and we're made to buy products with our cents on the dollar earnings to deal with this punishment.
work has been lucrative and stress-free; I'm finally earning the money that everyone who knows me, knows I deserve. I did have to rework my schedule a bit to get to this point of comfort and nonchalance, but something had to give-- and let's just say-- they weren't going to.
