Much better ideas for series have been suggested by those that enjoy Star Trek, and they have been ignored.
Star Date Beverly Hills 90210 wasn't what we asked for.
Even when a series has good characters and interesting ideas, it still needs compelling plots and competent script writing.
Personally I've watched every episode of every other Star Trek Series, even the weaker ones. I've given up on Academy. I'm just really not interested ππ
Given they could have had Star Trek Legacy with Captain 7 of 9 and a continuation of the Star Trek Picard timeline then STA is a fairly weak alternate timeline.
Legacy could have been the ST:TNG for the 2026+ timeframe with all sorts of possibilities for story arcs and character building. Exploration, mysteries to solve, new people to contact or recontact. Heck even a time travel story or two ππ

No hate from me, but DS9 did take a few seasons to get going. It wasn't our father's Trek but was an important series for how Trek developed.
Picard was flipping amazing and probably the best new Trek for ages. SNW is also very good ππ

That speaks as much to your excellent choices in hero's as to the hero's themselves ππ

Librefox might be what your looking for π
@neon_nova
That's not really they way to experience Star Trek.
Unless they are already into SciFi or Morality Tales picking one episode won't work as an introduction.
Each series and season has a different style and presentation ππ

UESPA was a decent of JPL and Star Fleet was a decent of NASA?
Some intercooperation was bound to happen though π

Unless this new movie is frankly outstanding it won't beat First Contact.
I do wish Paramount would concentrate on a Captain Seven series though ππ
