Yet still there are people that make strange (and terrible) financial decisions, when preorders just opened, people were really looking forward into buying it. I'm still not convinced that each owner buys it because of politics/trump/etc.

If it was bought recently, I would agree with you but owner could just buy it because it looks cool/etc (I know I know but who am I to judge other peopl's tastes). Does it have to be political?

Ah yes destroying other people's lives because of one asshole in power

Today it's cyber truck, tomorrow it will be your Corolla but whatever.

I dont like Elon but don't understand how people think vandalish would change anything. Elon will even be happy if you do that - some people could come back and buy another Tesla or repair existing one and bring money to his company

Don't let this single conversation get you out of your way. There are more good people than bad ones but sadly condition of the job market is not the best.

And honestly if I were asked the same question I wouldn't give a clear answer either - it's not only about skills but about being lucky enough for your skills to exactly match the ones that employer is searching for. If you have more you get more chances but unused skills will fade away quite quickly.

That's why in my opinion it's simpler to educate yourself until time invested in education stops giving a lot of profit (basically you got to learn most commonly required skills) and then just try until you land a job

But if there aren't enough jobs in us market - only connections will help sadly

Everyone is adult until odometer on their car hits 80085 miles

on Parental controls? · c/linux · 2 pts · 1y

Yeah I guess you're right and that depends on the child and their parents themselves.

My parents weren't limiting my time in any way and that helped me to become software engineer actually so to me it turned out to be a good thing. If I did have my screen time limited I would totally spend it on computer.games and not CS. I'm sure about it because I spent a lot of time playing too haha

Oh, sorry, that sounds totally understandable - I wish my best to both you and her!

And don't see anything wrong with that either way - was just interested how common it is

// sry for offtop but

Is everyone is fine with parental control nowadays? It was for paranoid parents only in my childhood and I didn't know anyone with parental control really.

The worst thing to me and my friends was hidden power supply cable if you did something really wrong.

Haha I'm currently writing from Xperia 1 iii and that thing sucks battery quite quickly due to it having snapdragon 888 and 4k screen

I honestly need neither of that and would be ok with 1080p screen and 865 cpu.

It is going to be harder and harder in a few years. They already worsened the keyboard and made trackpoint buttons flat like dell ones so we'll all eventually switch back to trackpads or mouses I guess. Too nieche product honestly so I get it but kinda sad :(

The second problem is absence of regional prices in other markets but Steam.

They are selling games two (!!) or so times cheaper in RU region. For example, AAA game might cost 60 dollars or 6000 rub in US but it will costs 35 or 3500 rub in russian steam.

Even though I couldn't afford games in the past and pirated them - at some point I started buying stuff just because it gives much better, hustle -free experience.

This is normal. They fly using some kind of corridor if I'm correct. I took such plane from Russia to turkey 2 months ago and it's definitely not a direct flight because Russian planes are not allowed in many countries' airspace.

Nah, difference between 85 and 86 is in its spec

The difference between pop-up and not pop-up variants is in model: Corolla levin 85/86 doesn't have pop up headlights and Sprinter trueno 85/86 has them
