Not weed, but I was going to HS prom in the 80’s and my date had a bottle of sparkling grape juice she showed me when we parked. 3 cop cars came out of nowhere, zoomed up and got us out of the car. I was laughing knowing it was non alcoholic. But the look on the cops faces was priceless. Just total disappointment. They all had to look at the bottle just to make sure. Hadn’t thought about that in years until your comment.
The vast majority of them won’t learn anything. They are just looking to blame someone right now. Next election (if there is one) some dem will say something they hate, things will be better for them, and they are right back on the trump train.
Most of them are too far gone, in the cult, and listen to nothing but the propaganda. Any soft realization will quickly be forgotten when they are told how it’s the other sides fault b
I know it’s difficult to tell online, but I read that as a joke post. Not serious. But it’s better for others to make fun of others for being clueless I guess.
This seems like an extension of social media and the internet. Weird people who talked at the bar or in the street corner were not taken seriously and didn’t get followers and lots of people who agree with them. They were isolated in their thoughts. Then social media made that possible with little work. These people were a group and could reinforce their beliefs. Now these chatbots and stuff let them liv in a fantasy world.
Libertarians in general are special breed of ignorance, selfishness, lies, and zero empathy. Qualities we all have to some degree, but when ramped up to 11, it’s a disaster.
Almost every school mascot today is some sort of non offensive animal. Puma, panther, golden eagles, a few others. Probably setting up the magas who want to go back to some real non woke “American hero” names. Gen Lee Slavemasters, red injun killers, white supremists, things like that. lol.
Only had one day at the Grand Canyon so I was by the congested main tourist area. Looking over the canyon, I turn around and there is a picnic table and nothing but McDonald’s trash left there. I don’t even know where the closest McDonald’s is, but they got it, drove in with it, carried it to a stone table overlooking the canyon, then just left the trash and walked away. WTF.
How old are you, or were you? Not saying there are no younger people who pack on weight, I’ve just found it’s harder to stay in shape as I get older. And if you’re not trying at all, this can happen to anyone. Course you his guy may have always been like that.
I think if we were sent a history book from the year 2200, we would see that history has determine the US was already effectively gone by this point. Most just don’t see it yet. What’s left for us to figure out is where we go from here. So far, I don’t like the chance it is a better country or world.
While not the point of this thread, just wanted to note for anyone struggling, themselves or someone they care about, there are lots of resources for addiction out there. Many of them free.
A treatment center can be a safe place to get clean and gain some knowledge, but it is a lifelong struggle for most who have addiction issues. Going into a treatment center does not “cure” most.
Please seek out help, even if you do not have insurance or are unable to go to a treatment center.

Seems like at about 5000 employees is when HR becomes the thing that drives so many decisions that don’t matter. And from there it’s all downhill.
