I agree. It's stupid either way, but the point of game chat is to use while playing games online multiplayer and in order to play online multiplayer you need to switch online subscription as is true with most consoles. Just the fact that it's attached to a physical button that launches an ad if you don't have it though, yeah that's pretty garbage.
During the free trial, I suppose one could use it to just use the console as a video chat, but who is actually using that over something like discord?
I agree. I initially moved over and just never really enjoyed opening the app for more than a couple minutes tops.. I only keep it cuz some of the artists that I followed on Twitter moved over to Bluesky so I'm able to continue enjoying their content without the Nazis
Not really... The majority are still physical, particularly first party games. I would say there are a lot of key card games but not the majority
Also even with key cards that means people are still opting to have the "inconvenience" of switching the cartridge to play the game over fully digital showing that they still care about having a physical item in their hand, even if it is a sham
As in the official GitHub or whatever repo they're using lists their aur package as an install message. So I'm not just downloading a potential clone/fake package with a similar name that could've been orphaned and taken over in the recent aur malware campaigns
Jesus... Here we go again.. as a normal Linux user non dev, do I just not update my PC for now? Until it's known what devs may be compromised downstream?
Frankly, I don't think there is the framework to ip-Ban someone and in even in that case they could probably just use a VPN, I think the best thing is to just completely ignore him and not engage whatsoever. But of course it's the internet. Good luck getting everyone to ignore him... Just keep reporting him to mods and move on I guess
Except it's even a bit more ridiculous than that because they can technically just scan the files and the metadata as where these are entire models that are not developed or being deployed by hugging face, they're just downloads hosted... I'm actually not sure what exactly they're supposed to do about this besides not allow image models I guess? Which I frankly wouldn't be against
I have a really simple setup since I don't really do content creation or music or anything really needing a quality microphone. I use the Drop/EPOS pc38x with the velour ear pads. As far as gaming headsets or just headsets in general, the sound quality is really good. Actually pretty decent mic for a headset, comfortable, braided cable, volume knob. Can't complain.
If I had more money I'd look at proper headphones and a standalone mic, but for 200 (160 when I bought them) it's solid. I personally don't like Bluetooth peripherals, wired gives the lowest latency and don't have to bother charging or having the batteries eventually needing replaced if they're even user replaceable. And not to mention not needing any bloatware to use. Just plug n play
You already have to prove ID with your ID. Requiring that you get an additional voter ID, which of course you'll have to pay for just puts an additional hurdle to exercise your constitutional right

Amid ram price hikes Linux has decided to double its license fee. It will now be available for $0
Shrug E?
Purdue made these as well and I got them to annoy my friends who despise the meme... And my oven's heating element died in protest 😂

Wake up samurai! We got a box to sit in
Yea I use like 2 or 3 things from aur and they're maintained by the developer.. the recent aur attacks haven't worried me a bit
Now that's a shit post

Yup
It does not prompt it just does it in the background along with the driver install when you first plug it in
Because this administration cares so much about the Constitution and definitely wouldn't find some sort of loophole to get around it
