When I switched from gel to EEn (never used any anti-androgen… other than E2 I guess lol), I progressively reduced my dosage of gel over 4-5 days after the first injection, and it was perfectly fine. So I'd say, don't worry too much about it. :)

I know I'm simplifying a lot, and we as a species probably don't understand a lot of things about cis women's bodies, but I want to emphasize that the reasons that drive cis women's hormone levels are different from ours. Thus, it stands to reason that other types of cycles/levels could offer better results for us.
Not to say you can't experiment, that's perfectly valid. Personally, I wouldn't want to experience PMS, or other hardships cis women have to go through.
And yep, a lot of trans women have those little devil nuts that produce testosterone, so that's another thing to take into account. 😄
As far as I know, for the clinic I'm going to, there is no evidence of them testing hormone levels, but they keep saying in big red letters "you HAVE to stop x weeks before OR ELSE THE DEVIL IS GONNA POSSESS YOU!!"… 🙃

I went from 5,25 mg/day (gel) to 5 mg/week (EEn). I'll see after my next blood test whether to reduce it or not, but so far so good haha.
