@cm0002 I don't have cellular service and have had a good experience with Organic Maps, recently switched to CoMaps.
search in those apps could be improved, but it's a LOT better than when I treid OsmAnd in the past. I find CoMaps vastly more usable than OsmAnd.
I still don't have a replacement for Backcountry Navigator for hiking and such. it's not FOSS but very good, with an excellent selection of free & pay maps - some of the pay maps are worth it.
