I have a set on my gravel bike which is probably a better use case than road, but my favorite thing about it is the confidence it gives you after you have an issue. Rather than wondering if a puncture has fully sealed or second guessing if a tire starts feeling soft mid-ride I can just keep an eye on the pressure without stopping. On gravel especially I like knowing the tires are okay during chunky descents. The three wishes I have for them before adding to other bikes are cleaner integration, better price, and doubling as a wheel speed sensor.

So far the only bots I've seen have felt very spammy. One example is the piped bot which may have a good cause, but I don't think we need a comment every single time there's a youtube link mentioned.

I've already seen the popular "unpopular" opinions got carried over from Reddit, so I'm glad to see this tradition got carried over too! Now we just need the OOTL and ELI5 posts from people who clearly understand something and just need an excuse to post a news article.

I've wanted one for years and finally set aside the money a few months ago, so if it's another few months I think I can wait it out. I'm using a browser extension called Distill to watch the page for any changes, plus watching availability in other countries to see if it gives me any hints when more might arrive in the US.

I had a bike stolen right before COVID and I’m thankful it didn’t happen a month later because it would have been a very long wait. The situation is better than it has been for a few years but I feel your pain, I’m waiting for the revised Aeroad to hit the US. Almost caved and got a different color of the older model today, but my 2019 Endurace still makes me happy so I'm holding out for what I really want. What region and what size/color are you interested in?

Shame the way it had to end and that the concerts had to be cancelled as well. I have a feeling a lot of the potential new fans are gonna end up staying home.

Also interested. I’ve used Home Assistant a few times in the past when I needed to figure out what time I arrived somewhere, and while I was able to find what I needed there’s probably an integration for it that would make it work more like Google’s location history.

Maybe it's been implemented by now, but when I set it up I was disappointed to realize there's not an API. Previously I was using Statping and had a Slack bot that employee could use to check the status of everything. I saw that there was a project you could install alongside Uptime Kuma to add API endpoints, but I didn't take the time to set it up.
