That being said, I had two oneplus phones way before they got expensive and they were awesome phones. Excellent battery life and specs, and super fast charging for their time. I'm sad to see them go but it was evident they were heading that way from Oneplus 8 onwards. The OP8 cost more than double the price of the OP1, just 6 years later.
That's a false dilemma. Historically birth rates fall fastest through prosperity and education, not war deaths. Besides, war-driven death tolls only dent the growth rate temporarily and get overcompensated by a subsequent boom.
Tech does advance during wars, but that doesn't mean war is required for advancement. Enormous tech progress also happens in peacetime. Advances don't require war.
While I agree that MacOS and Apple have their own share of issues, and while MacOS is far from perfect, I do believe that it is better in privacy matters.
