Most people nowadays mistake AI as LLM, and aren’t aware of the scientific fields where AI has been and is used, and has been used for way longer than LLMs are publicly known.
All recent OSes even visually make it obvious that the microphone is used, after asking the user if they should allow it at all. I don’t think they can actually to more far than this. Maybe regularly ask the user if they really want the microphone to be used all the time.
It isn’t better, it’s even worse IMO. But it’s just the truth. It is verifiable enough that apps cannot just spy via your microphone in any reasonably modern OS, not even the old versions. What has never been verified though is that there are non-zero-day-exploit-ways to spy through your microphone.
Bro, they don’t. The OS manages microphone access. If you allow it, yes, they may spy. But even then, the OS visible tells you via an icon that the microphone is used. It is the plain written truth, that we can not argue around. There has been a lot security research around this, stuff has been audited, Android is even open source, and no one has ever found even a hint of this being possible.
Echos and Google Homes are an entirely different story because they operate their microphones by design, their entire system works on always listening, and they don’t hide that.

I think that's what the comment means. But still I think it's not only on them. Liam publicly and very very probably internally massively lobbied for him getting that seat rather earlier than later. I mean, sure, no one would say "no please let me learn first", but it's IMO not 100% on RBR.
Thought the same, although on a second thought Jellyfin would maybe use 1% of the resources of that CPU. But still, I started with Jellyfin and Audiobookshelf on my home server (it has approx. half the computing power of the XPS) and now it has expanded to Immich, LLMs, Nextcloud, and has basically replaced my whole cloud personality. It has a lot of disk space also, so actually - if you don't need the laptop - set it up as a home server and start with one project on it. I promise it'll grow fast, haha.
Lol, this is a new perspective for me. I don’t dislike macOS, but would like to have Linux 100x more. Customizable and no vendor lock in. Although higher battery usage, probably.
I love the MacBook for its build quality, the touchpad and the screen. But macOS, it’s just there. I don’t mind it, as it’s rather open and UNIX based, but I’d rather have Linux.
What do you specifically like about macOS in comparison to Linux?

Nobara (Fedora based Distro with tweaks for gaming) is also a nice choice, but I still don’t want to fully switch to it for gaming because of Anti Cheat.
Is putting another youngster that barely proved himself into the vice championship seat really a good idea? Like, yeah, Perez needed to go, but Lawson? Really? Not that I don’t like him, but he not even drove half a season. It’s Albons story all over again. I hope he can prove himself.
thank you! unfortunately it's not about headphones but about some proprietary android app that has it's own protocol to talk with some also proprietary devices via bluetooth, so that probably won't work. but will try bliss os soon (soon = in the next month, hopefully, haha)!
i always think it's ridiculous to just use an ISO manipulated by some third party people. at least last time when i quickly googled it, it was intransparent as hell. not only weren't i able to see the full extent of changes, but also it was published by some rando in the internet. i don't think anyone should seriously consider using it.

Tbh I think the official Ubuntu should be a good choice for that. GNOME should work pretty well with a touchscreen, at least last time I checked. Also, even on some lower spec hardware it should be fast enough.
I think that, if your tablet is actually from post-2010, your processor should definitely be capable of x64 (you specifically wrote x86). But maybe you also just used x86 as a general term for like x86-x64 CPUs.
Maybe it would help to tell us your specific CPU model and maybe RAM, just to be safe.

AFAIK Android for x86 was a short project that only lasted some years and has been mostly abandoned unfortunately.
