Exactly. We've come a long way from $6/m netflix. I would rather give up youtube than pay them $10/m. I GLADLY paid $1/m to a twitch adblocker the other day. Ill pay, but not fucking $10/m when I can avoid it with some complications for free.

I 'run' a small plex server for myself, family, and a handful of friends and 2tb would be suffocating. One hard fought request for a certain TV show can wipe out a TB by itself. 30TB starts looking diminutive very quickly.
Ill pop in maybe monthly to make sure my stuff stays deleted/edited and Ill check in on /r/all...its a shit show, who is entertaining this? Its karma farming or garbage across the board. Lemmy is super young but it feels like reddit a decade ago. Ill gladly deal with its shortcomings to not deal with whatever reddit turned into.
