I do get recommendations with bands/songs I don't have in my collection. However, they are maybe 3-4 entries with the rest that I have. Its weekly recommendations because I get it every Monday.
But I'll have a look see. Thank you for the head's up.
Using zimaOS, Umbrel, and other "one click install" OSs are very locked down when you need a more "complex" setup.
Hence they appeal to newcomers in the selfhost space. But you'll soon realize that they get in your way.
It's preferable to learn docker, docker compose from scratch if you really like to tinker and just setup a vanilla Debian server with it. That way you will not be tied down when you later want to do more elaborated setups. You will feel rewarded afterwards.
However, it does take time. It's up to you if its worth it.
I use LMS (Lightweight Music Server) on my server with the web interface to play on the desktop. It also scrobble to listenbrainz for discovery but I have to say, the weekly suggestions that hits my RSS feed, is music I already have. So not that great, at least for now.
On mobile I use Ultrasonic that downloads music on the phone as it plays the tracks. So the offline use is "automatic".
Oh yes. I think I forgot about setting up the API key in LMS.
Not running a reverse proxy on LMS. I do run traefik for most of my infrastructure but choose not to with my music server. One less moving part that can break. Can't have any interruptions while I'm recharging my soul. ;)
Well, I'll check it out. Maybe you have a point.

AI - It's only a google search (manipulation) engine on steroids.
Not at all for the good of humanity.
Who saw that coming?
So problem solved. Get the Moto.
Not very complex. Use nebula-sync in docker.
Don't worry, it will soon be scrapped.
Google is running out of naming schemes for their projects.
Not enough words in the dictionary.
Yes. It's just a higher level of efficiency, portability, snapshots and backups.
Yeah, I hope the big tech all break down by the very beast they created. Bankruptcy!
Like all marketplaces.
Uuuuu. Like the glove!
Looks so profissional!
All my phones have been Motorola, the first one was the Moto X - OG !
Very well built and great batteries. Quality phones with close to stock UI for a snappy experience. Love the Moto Actions as well.
Only negatives were updates and cameras. Both are much better these days.
Especially now with an upcoming OS alternative!
Well, this is one of several upcoming price hikes in the space. The writing is on the wall.
One only needs to follow the news of the current wasteland of computer parts running scarce.
Think of it like fuel shortage in a Mad Max movie.

Thanks a lot.
Using LMS (Lightweight Music Server) as backend.

I'm currently using Ultrasonic with no problem.
I seem to get an error when adding my server.
Can you help me out?
Thanks!
Well, we are talking pennies here so... /s
That's exactly what I was wondering too.
Acquiring high quality music is already easy enough in most cases.
What I am interested in is the metadata. Accurate tagging of all my files is of high interest.
