14-year-old Ukrainian chess player, Ihor Samunenkov, won the title of Grandmaster on Jan. 2, 2024. Samunenkovv is now the youngest player in the world to hold the title.

Is he the youngest right now or generally the youngest to achieve that? Since there always automatically has to be a youngest at every point in time that seems like a not so relevant detail.

Youngest ever was 12 and change, but depending on exactly how old this gm is, he'll be around the 4th-7th youngest chess grandmaster ever.

He's actually not even in the top 20 youngest gms which is crazy imo. https://www.chess.com/article/view/youngest-chess-grandmasters
