Wow, that game brings back so many great memories.
I had played the original maniac mansion on the Nintendo. Then after my family got a PC, my dad took me into the city to one of those big box computer stores for some reason. As we quickly walked down an aisle full of games, this box with a tentacle on the cover immediately caught my eye. I hadn't heard any news about this game, but I saw that tentacle and I just knew. And after pleading with my father, I walked out of there with that game, and it blew my little mind.
I was kinda obsessed with this game as a kid, and played it enough that I memorized every puzzle and solution. I would go through a playthrough in about half an hour. That's still long compared to most speedrunners these days... but isn't it funny how we used to play the same story-driven games over and over even though most of them never had alternate endings?

So random. Just installed ScummVM on my retro gaming handheld and now I'm playing DotT.

Great game. And it reminds me of a time when LucasArts pumped these titles out like there was no tomorrow.
