Every year, Gallup checks the country’s temperature on well-being. The rating for “thriving” in 2023 was the lowest following only the years of the Great Recession and Covid-19 outbreak, according to the report.

Kinda just what happens when problems are allowed to languish for a couple decades or so. Obama tried, he took a real crack at health care for instance, which is one of the biggest. Everything pretty quickly unravelled though.
