Listen, I'm going to hold my nose and vote for Biden in November because a Trump victory risks the end of democracy in the US, but I'm so tired of this idea that all criticism of him, and anyone who disagrees with us about whether to vote for him, is a victim of some kind of conspiracy.

You are confusing Religious Zionists (who do serve, and make up the bulk of the far-right and settlers in Israel) with the Ultra-Orthodox (who do not serve, and largely don't have views about the conflict and are more worried about social programs for their community who are by and large poor).

It's such a shame, I really hope Ernest is ok. And I guess the once again lesson here is something like this needs a dev team and not just one person.

This minister in particular didn't serve because he was considered a suspected terrorist. Too far right for the IDF - almost impressive.
