There's a backstory to this Costco sign. And I'd like to know what happened.

It's obv not a Costco sign, there is a Tesco product in the background and Costco does not sell other companies' house-brand stuff. Just Kirkland and name brand stuff.

You still shouldn't throw Tesco cabbages at Costco staff.

What about M&S cabbages?

Why are you pulling this Reddit bullshit of making obvious title errors to drive engagement?

what the fuck is wrong with you?

Vej@lemm.ee · 24 pts · 2y (3 replies)

I believe someone hurled a cabbage at their staff.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

Not possible.

TheOneWithTheHair@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

At least one.

MeatsOfRage@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y

Yea it says cabbages. You're allowed to throw just one.

Someone printed that sign at home and then stuck it there to take a funny picture for the internet

Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 2y

That just doesn't sound like something people would do. I'm going to keep searching for a funnier answer.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Shut up or I'll throw a cabbage at you.

steal_your_face@lemmy.ml · 17 pts · 2y

My cabbages!

deegeese@sopuli.xyz · 9 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Costco? Says Tesco.

Mr_Blott@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

American reading comprehension in a nutshell lol

deegeese@sopuli.xyz · -1 pts · 2y

So throwing cabbages would be British manners then?

altima_neo@lemmy.zip · 7 pts · 2y

The backstory is that's a Tesco and not a Costco

betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y

I'd like to know more about the person who would throw a cabbage at store employees but would also obey a sign asking them not to. Sort of like depictions of vampires that won't think twice about murder but trespassing is just beyond the pale.

Are heads of lettuce acceptable?

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

They say nothing about grapefruit.

IWantToFuckSpez@kbin.social · 3 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Tiktok challenge?

Froyn@kbin.social · 2 pts · 2y (1 reply)

This picture goes viral and it will be.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

I honestly hope not, but it wouldn't be the first time TikTok encouraged kids to be assholes.

Pumafred9@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

That act is reserved for management only.

Dabro@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Ah yes, the good old "Cabbage War" of 2008. Those were some dark times. Up was down, Costco was Tesco (or vice versa, idfk)...

Diprount_Tomato@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

They didn't like the performance

STRIKINGdebate2@lemmy.world MOD · 3 pts · 2y

To the person that reported this meme. No. I can't remove a post because it's "unfunny"

NoSpiritAnimal@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

I was throwing cabbages at our staff
