People thought this was a good idea

Local constituency, politicians, bureaucrats, big asphalt, and Ford all agreed that this is something that makes sense and we should build, as humans, to enhance our community.

What they really need is just one more lane to solve this whole mess.

Exactly. One more lane in a third panel would solve it!

Judging from my downvote I should probably add a /s

I would love to see a comparison to what it would look like if all those people would sit in busses or trams or something

What is it

lntl@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 3y (3 replies)

Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, 50 lanes across

agarorn@feddit.de · 6 pts · 3y

The expressway is not 50 lanes. This is probably a toll boot. You can see that you have way fewer lane after that or in the other direction.

Yazee@beehaw.org · 5 pts · 3y

Doesn't look very "express".

Provenscroll@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 3y

This is not an expressway, it seems to be a toll booth or a border crossing

Isn't this in China though? I don't think Ford or big oil have much sway over the Chinese government. They managed to come up with this monstrosity all without lobbying and industry pressure.

But look all the freedom!

If you look at the location from like, a maps app or something, you can see that it starts at like 10 lane or something, widens, then goes back to the original lane size
