I hear you and don't really think "more expensive" is something car mfgs care about ATM. If anything, that's a feature for them. i think average price of a new car is about $50k
In NYC metro area, I regularly listen to sports radio and NPR on AM. Sure, there's other stuff too but I don't tune into it. It's the best place to get live Yankees broadcasts and coverage of the Giants, Mets, Jets, Nets, Knicks, Islanders, and Rangers.
Once a year I go to the local library and print some blank 1040s and other tax documents, costs me like $2 in print fees. Nobody (except maybe Ratheon) wants weapons in space. Can we make tax season more efficient instead? For example, gov sends a tax bill that one either pays or disputes rather than forcing everyone to calculate a number they already have?
Folks can contact the NYS Legislature and express their concerns with this proposal and recommend using tax dollars in a way that helps more New Yorkers. Some ideas could be repairing deficient bridges, or reducing sewage dumped into the Hudson River, or paying teachers more... but don't listen to me, one ought to tell his or her legislator what's important to he or she.
downloaded all my data and hoping to keep it on Hard drives myself, They are external plug in types
You have multiple external drives. Are they USB? How many?
So when I plug it in
Are they not usually plugged in? Is there a requirement to keep them air gapped between syncs?
it copies/syncs the things on my computer, anyone knows somethign like that?
Like others have said, a shell script that calls rsync is maybe the way to go and with some more information on number of drives, drive interface type, and air gap requirements it may change
I imagine analysts have identified that building an economy that is dependent on a resource like oil or gas comes with drawbacks and that the oil and gas lobby has access to the worlds militaries which may be used to mitigate those drawbacks.
So I used to used both Reddit and Lemmy and now I have completely switched over to Lemmy, which has turned out to be a much better experience anyway. (Less trolls, less intentionally divisive content, etc)
Here's what I did:
Got a permanent ban from Reddit (easy to do, plenty of guides online)
Started a lemmy community (!westchesterny@lemmy.ml)
Engage with others on lemmy
Post content to c/westchesterny and other communities I am interested in (typically NYC metro area communities)
What it was for me is Lemmy has a lot of tech and political discussions, but I don't really care about that so I started a community and contribute to communities that are regional to me because engaged hyper local and regional communities are a huge gap in the lemmy federation right now.

The plan also calls for state lawmakers to pass a proposed “Drugged Driving Bill,” which would allow prosecutors to charge drivers using drugs that impair driving.
This isn't already a thing?
It further called for lawmakers to pass legislation allowing the seizure of license plates from reckless drivers and to establish higher penalties for repeat offenders.

Goddamn communists
It's like my ears: I don't feel it.
Exactly. Just because a medium can be used to broadcast rascist bullshit doesn't mean we should eliminate it.
I was outside fishing with my brother and our sister came out and said "the tv is not working."
I mean, without AM... the options become FM and 5G/WWW. FM is a known quantity and the WWW is waayy worse than AM: the Klan broadcasts over the WWW.

I've been wearing this necklace for about 30 years

So.... let's build out better transit?
Congrats, great life choice

Nope, I'm accessible on the WAN and the webserver is intentionally public facing.
Edit: AllowUsers in sshd.conf is my access control
I operate SSH, nginx, and uvicorn like this:

Hey @murph!

Too lenient IMO and it's a start.
