@lntl Suffolk County accounted for a QUARTER of the road fatalities in downstate NY counties, 2020-2024. Now the people in charge who've been building tons of wide roads for decades want to spend millions of our tax dollars to widen Sunrise Highway again. Can we stop this?

Folks can contact the NYS Legislature and express their concerns with this proposal and recommend using tax dollars in a way that helps more New Yorkers. Some ideas could be repairing deficient bridges, or reducing sewage dumped into the Hudson River, or paying teachers more... but don't listen to me, one ought to tell his or her legislator what's important to he or she.
