Okay, okay, you talked me into coffee.

It looks like the name of the place is "Meh".

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 29 pts · 2y

That's exactly the type of place that would be apathetic enough to mention the raptors as an afterthought.

brbposting@sh.itjust.works · 11 pts · 2y (7 replies)

Meh Mela is in Wenatchee, Washington

LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 2y (4 replies)

Here, I zoomed out further for reference:

Zoomed out a bit more, just in case you live too far.

And just in case anyone else wants to stop by we love in the Virgo Supercluster.

👑

(Were Seattle & Vancouver good enough reference points at least ~80% of people would understand?)

Sticker@lemy.nl · 2 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I don't like this location of the tables on the street. In summer, the dust from passing cars will fly into your cup of coffee.

I know of several cafes located near the park area. There are a lot of trees and shrubs around. It is a good place for relaxation and dates.

LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Maybe that's one reason there's a sign outside encouraging people to come inside.

OpenStars@startrek.website · 8 pts · 2y

It's ironic.

milicent_bystandr@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 2y

I read, "Mela", though I also thought "meh" at first

bleistift2@feddit.de · 34 pts · 2y

The sign doesn’t say there were no raptors inside…

RamblingPanda@lemmynsfw.com · 22 pts · 2y (2 replies)

That's why I won't go back to the office. It's just too scary with all those raptors

explodicle@local106.com · 8 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Just get used to it. More people get killed by the flu than by raptors now.

RamblingPanda@lemmynsfw.com · 7 pts · 2y

That's what the raptors want us to think.

model_tar_gz@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Coffee shop named ‘meh’. tbh I’m feeling pretty ‘meh’ about it.

paholg@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 2y

I think it's "mela".

LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

I agree. I'm gonna risk the raptors.

LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 2y (5 replies)

So are they insinuating that everybody in the world who's not inside that coffee shop is at risk of being eaten by a raptor?

If so, I'm afraid we're all doomed.

I feel like somehow your comment is more relevant to this post

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y (2 replies)

There are other coffee shops.

adamantris@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Are you sure that they are raptor save too tho?

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Have you ever heard of anyone getting attacked by a raptor in a coffee shop?

robocall@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 2y (3 replies)

I bet raptors would appreciate my humor

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 2y (2 replies)

They would laugh as they ate your face.

robocall@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

you're just saying that because you don't appreciate my humor /s

supercriticalcheese@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

better not to risk it indeed

RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 2y (3 replies)

That... is an iguanodon.

GiveMemes@jlai.lu · 4 pts · 2y (1 reply)

If you haven't already, please go treat yourself to the YouTube channel YDAW (your dinosaurs are wrong)!

RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

I bet this guy has a lot of fans between the ages of 8 and 14 who are suspiciously knowledgeable about paleontology. And who also look at the middle of his nose when talking to him.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

That's just what the velociraptors want you to think.

xavier666@lemm.ee · 6 pts · 2y

What if they learn to open doors?

DingoBilly@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Lol they're so kooky omg! We just have to go inside for a coffee!!

JoShmoe@ani.social · 6 pts · 2y (6 replies)

This sign would be more effective for a gun store. Here you just get the coffee but then what? The raptors are still waiting for you except now you smell better.

photonic_sorcerer@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 13 pts · 2y (2 replies)

I'm so glad to live in a country where gun stores are a foreign concept.

JoShmoe@ani.social · 8 pts · 2y (1 reply)

But are you safe from Raptors?

photonic_sorcerer@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 2y

Yes! They're extinct.

Or perhaps that's exactly what they want us to think...

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Raptors are notoriously allergic to coffee.

EdibleFriend@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 2y

Yet another failing of the public education system

OpenStars@startrek.website · 4 pts · 2y

But with coffee you are juiced up enough to... Oh no, YOU were the cause of all those juiced-up raptors out there, running around like Captain Janeway looking for her next fix!? :-( :-P

waz@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y (6 replies)

Isn't a raptor a bird?

Annoyed_Crabby@monyet.cc · 11 pts · 2y (1 reply)

They probably mean this Raptor

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

It's a bird! It's a plane!

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 2y (3 replies)

They mean velociraptor, but they're called raptors in Jurassic Park multiple times, so...

tubaruco@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 2y (2 replies)

"velociraptor"

cause those thing in jp are not velociraptors

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I know, the real ones were the size of turkeys. I still wouldn't want to run into one.

tubaruco@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 2y

i would love to run into one, but only after knowing how aggressive they would be

in case theyre very aggressive i would like them to be in something similar to an aviary, so that they wont hurt me

Mac@mander.xyz · 1 pts · 2y

Yo is that an RX8? Nice. Don't see them much.
