  • The microphone icon, which is found in the search bar on the Pixel Launcher home screen, has now been re-mapped.
  • The change was announced earlier this month alongside the removal of 17 features in Google Assistant.
  • The microphone button was previously a Google Assistant shortcut. Now, it will respond to questions with Google Search results.

Huh, my mind has completely blocked off that part of the launcher screen. Do people use that Google bar stuff?

I've seen this like 20 times and refuse to believe it's as big a problem as these news sites make it sound

Why would anyone use stock OS on Pixel anyway? Graphene is so easy to install and so much better.

Mind you, Google Wallet. Other than that I wonder if they fixed the issue of camera opening too slow. Not laggy, but starts up slow enough that I find it irritating to use GrapheneOS daily.

Exactly this. I would love to use GrapheneOS but I'm not ready to give up NFC payments.

It doesn't work with a bunch of shit? Why ask these simple questions?

My pixel is a refurb so the bootloader can't be unlocked.
