Why don't people recommend it more often? I tried a bunch of distros and had various issues, the common thread was that they were all based on debian. So I gave that a go and bam, no issues.
I enjoy tinkering with Linux but have used a Mac as my main machine for nearly 20 years.
I also hate iOS (I use Android) and find it completely different to macos. If you like a nice, shiny, user-friendly Linux desktop then you'll probably like macos. Also things like the terminal work the same and most settings are in a similar place.
Get the best M Mac you can afford, more RAM is good but the os is designed well so you don't get slowdown.
I'm pretty sure the laptop I installed Debian on has an Nvidia GPU and it was pretty easy to install the drivers, and I'm very much at the tinkering level than an expert.
I've tried a few different distros that always seemed to have one issue or another, and they were all based on Debian. So I just tried Debian instead and it's good, I'm not sure what the other distros are adding.
Vyvanse was really bad for me, deep depression, lack of focus and other stuff. Ritalin ended up being much better so it's definitely worth trying a few different meds if you can.
People use JavaScript for styling? Gross. Never liked JS, it's necessary for some things but I don't get building a 10mb site when a 0.1mb site is HTML/CSS would suffice.
Remember building for IE4/5 and had to check everything looked good with out JS because a lot of people had it disabled.
I got a Miyoo Mini plus for mine, installed onionos and loads of games from internet archive. They love it, maybe one day I'll set up my dusty wiiU but i only have Mario kart for it. Or some kind of minipc set up.

I was hoping for this
Dead Set was a bit of fun too
Have you looked at this?: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/ I used it on my 2015 iMac and it runs the latest OS well.
We watch it every Christmas Eve, it's great.
But why? I drive an EV and it's way better than a manual (I'm getting too old for that crap), and nothing like an automatic.
Plus putting your foot down in an EV and letting it rip is like nothing else, gears would ruin that fun.
It's a confusing article, the game he talks about on Mastodon (Death By Scrolling) has just been released. There was another game he stopped dev on: https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@grumpygamer/115657740122347206
Is that a little cat's paw button behind the keyboard? What does it do?!
Very (and honestly as a former UKer they're better)

I've lived in Britain and Australia and I've never seen this, and both places have good spicy food so I assume they didn't sell well.
Bad Religion are working on a new album too

We just used the free one we got from the NSW government. This thing looks stupid and I bet you'd feel stupid after 5 mins wearing it.

I read the book first which is better, but they did a good job with the movie, and I actually really like what they did with Mark Ruffalo's character.
The first half is quicker paced than the second half, but it's a fun movie.
I'm a G guy at heart but use I now. My main issue is how easily the pins can bend.
