Most grinders run between 5000 and 10000 rpm. Let's say 6000 for easy numbers. That's 100 rotations per second. That disk is at least a meter wide (3ft for the metricly challenged) so the circumference is 3.14m. the tip speed of the blade is then 314m/s. The speed of sound is 343m/s. This thing is a monstrosity.

Somehow I feel like this unit would have trouble reaching its full capacity with a blade that heavy mounted.
