Between 1978 and 2007, there were a number of legal disputes between Apple Corps (owned by the Beatles) and the computer manufacturer Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) over competing trademark rights, specifically over the use of the name "Apple" and their respective logos which consist of a profile of an apple. Apple Inc. paid Apple Corps. over three settlements: $80,000 in 1978, $26.5 million in 1991, and $500 million in 2007, when Apple Inc. acquired all the trademarks related to "Apple".
The Department for Education would also be asked to refresh its pupil premium guidance to emphasise that the extra money schools in England receive for supporting the most disadvantaged children could be used for tutoring and mentoring schemes for those at risk of becoming Neet.
Those absolute monsters!
I think everyone's just so conditioned to reading bad news headlines that they assumed this was something sinister, when it actually seems like quite positive news (in theory at least)
I'm just going off memory, but sky tv already provided computer-related services and products in Britain, so it's not unreasonable for them not to want another company essentially using their name for a product that could quite easily be confused as to being associated with them
I can't speak for any gatcha games, but the appeal of roguelikes for me is that I can pick up the game, play a run, experience something new, and then be done; very handy when you don't know how long or how frequently you're going to be able to play. In-game experience is replaced by getting better at the game as you understand how it works etc. It's fine not to like that though, they're definitely not for everyone.
Hades 1 was one of the poster children for the Deck at launch so I'd expect it to have pretty good performance, but I played it before I got mine so I can't confirm. If you enjoyed 1 then you'll probably enjoy 2, it's more of what you like!
If you can find out how they generate the quick-claim links then that would be ideal, but I'm in no hurry to go back to trawling reddit!
Good thing Halloween never gets commercialised, eh?
I didn't mean my comment that way, but I've just reread it and yeah I wrote it way too ambiguously lol
Yeah I think so (I had to look it up though!)
Have a read of the Wikipedia article on Technicals, it's great
The Beatles got quite a lot of cash from Apple when they started selling music through iTunes, right?

Much more achievable for the common man
You can experience it yourself in less than 38000 years!

Hades 2 runs at 4K 60fps, and the only place I've seen it lag is the Crossroads (the hub area, presumably because it's larger than the actual levels)
!newcommunities@lemmy.world?
!trendingcommunities@lemmy.cafe, but it doesn't seem to have posted since April
Whatever happened to !trendingcommunities@feddit.nl? That was great for finding new communities which actually had active posters.
This is why I always shit in the bath, makes the cleanup easier too
Nice, going in with the idea that it's trying something different to normal xcom is good to know, thanks
Now you have!
Thanks, I'm always in favour of going in with low expectations
