Yep. I'm in the same boat. If it can't be used to generate ad revenue, Google doesn't seem to care about it.

I think you can still navigate, just not with the assistant function.

Personally I use Head Unit Reloaded anyway since they shut android auto for phone screens. It also works to cast to an android tablet if you've got one kicking around
