Fun fact: the character of Mrs Robinson in The Graduate is based on the ref's mum.

Is this real, or a joke/reference I'm not getting?

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y (4 replies)

Just a failed attempt at humor based on the surname of today's ref 🤷

Lol, you got me reading Wikipedia trying to decipher that... Apparently the person who wrote the original book didn't get any royalties from the movie or song

Same! I learnt so much about I movie I've never seen, and a song I never think about

Sorry, at least 3-1 is back

3-1 is the most Liverpool score... although this week I predicted 2-1 - oh well I'd take that 3rd goal any day of the week

Burnley GK sorta looks like Miles Teller

Been a tough 22min so far. Hang in there lads

Solid game despite the shakey start, I continually feel like if the front three could have a bit more chemistry we'd be unstoppable. Quicker decisions and we're golden

I expect part of this is the way we now have enough players up front to be able to rotate them. When all we had was Mane/Firmino/Salah and that combo played every game then it's understandable that they knew what the guys either side of them would do and could play those blind/first-touch passes.

Harvey has to start sometime, what more can he do?
