Anyone else find it weird how we waste taxpayer resources to prohibit drugs the ruling class has unfettered access to anyways?

It's performance art. A part of the circus section of bread and circuses.

Lame.

At least there's not just a bunch of jokes about the amount.

I still think it's a waste of time and resources though.
