I lived in the California desert where they do that too. Creepy as hell. It’s like a wave of tarantulas sweeping across the desert.

It’s cool to see that they interviewed David Moellendorf for the article. He has a species of tarantula (Aphonopelma moellendorfi) named for him. I was able to purchase a spiderling from his shop a couple years ago.

I'm definitely a live and let live type with spiders but they do creep me out though.

I once had a wolf spider chilling in my bathroom for a few days. He was cool
