Are you a developer of both Lemmy and Jerboa? I just realized I think I've seen your name in both places. You are a freaking hard worker!!!

dessalines@lemmy.ml · 99 pts · 3y (5 replies)

Ya, realized people kept making flutter and javascript / react native apps for lemmy, so I decided to teach myself jetpack compose and build a native android app for lemmy... I love the reddit app boost, so jerboa is essentially an open source reverse engineering of it's UI.

I haven't been able to contribute much to it lately tho, because I've been overwhelmed with a lot of other priorities, but its been getting a ton of great contributers.

You are an absolute legend. Don't overdo it.

reclipse@lemdro.id · 19 pts · 3y

Thank you for making native app for Android.

This feels incredibility based haha

The boost developer did announce boost for lemmy. Might be a nice opportunity to work together.

dessalines@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 3y

They're welcome to contribute, but I'm guessing boost for lemmy will be closed source.

Would be nice if it was actually updated on Fdroid or Google 😓

darcmage@lemm.ee · 33 pts · 3y (3 replies)

Give obtainium a shot to get it straight from the source as soon as it's available.

kadu@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 3y

That's an awesome recommendation, just downloaded it and already set up 8 of my apps to download from GitHub. Fantastic.

Navarian@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 3y

This is great, can't believe I'm only just discovering this – thanks!

Stanley_Pain@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 3y

Oooh this look cool. Thanks :)

dessalines@lemmy.ml · 27 pts · 3y (1 reply)

It will, but izzyondroid will get it the fastest.

darcmage@lemm.ee · 9 pts · 3y

Or you could use obtainium to get it straight from the source as soon as it's available.

MarcellusDrum@lemmy.ml · 19 pts · 3y

It's been a while since I used Jerboa. Will give it a try. Thanks to all contributers.

Zana@startrek.website · 11 pts · 3y (1 reply)

I really wish they would add a left handed mode for comments.

Open up a github issue.

"Add toggle in settings to hide descriptions in navbar"

YES, as someone who uses the German version of Jerboa, I was waiting for this!

RoToRa@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 3y

Although this seems like the laziest variant. It shouldn't be that complicated to redesign the navbar allowing two line text and hyphenation of the text.

reddfugee@feddit.de · 1 pts · 3y

Thanks for the hint

Marxine@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 3y

Thanks for the hard work! Gonna download it right now ✨

Edit: just updated, everything's doing fine and smooth over here!

UntouchedWagons@lemmy.ca · 6 pts · 3y (5 replies)

My subscribed feed is blank, the all and local feeds are fine.

[Edit] Account switching still doesn't work properly.

dessalines@lemmy.ml · 5 pts · 3y (4 replies)

My subscribed is showing fine, you might need to re-log in. What version?

UntouchedWagons@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 3y (3 replies)

Oh I'm still on 0.0.38, even though there's no update available.

dessalines@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 3y (2 replies)

Feel free to open up an issue if it still exists on 0.0.39

Sarcastik@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 3y (1 reply)

I'm having the same problem despite updating and logging out and back in multiple times.

I really like Jerboa, but been having a really bad ride with it since joining Lemmy.

PropaGandalf@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

I had the same issue because of the security incident yesterday. Maybe try to log out, clear the cache of the app and log back in.

WhoRoger@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

Ok I don't need sleep after all.

mightysashiman@kbin.social · -4 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Is there any kbin support planned?

dessalines@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 3y

No, It's a completely different platform with it's own API. It will have to develop it's own apps.
